The 15-Minute Upper Body Workout (No Gym Needed)

Your arms carry your whole world — groceries, grandkids, and getting yourself up off the floor. After 40, upper-body strength is one of the best investments you can make, and this one takes 15 minutes with zero gym equipment: just a wall, a counter, and a sturdy chair.

Rest 30 seconds between moves. Complete 2 rounds.

  1. Wall Push-Ups — 12 reps. Face a wall, hands shoulder-width, bend your elbows and push back.
  2. Counter Push-Ups — 8 reps. Hands on a counter edge, body straight, lower your chest slowly.
  3. Chair Dips — 8 reps. Hands on a sturdy chair behind you, bend your elbows, press back up.
  4. Superman Hold — hold 20–30 seconds. On your belly, lift your chest and legs, squeeze your back.
  5. Wall Angels — 10 reps. Back flat to the wall, slide your arms up and down like a snow angel; great for posture.

This pairs with yesterday’s 15-Minute Lower Body Workout — together they cover a complete beginner strength week. Do this one today and tell me in the comments which move humbled you.
